100 Creepy Things and Events to Find in a Spooky House IIThis is a list of 100 different things, encounters and events that could be found in a creepy or haunted house. Some of the encounters require a more modern setting, as they use technology that dates from the 19th or 20th century, but many of them can be used at any date, or in any setting.

Some of the things may only be disturbing if they are thought about, watched or investigated. Most tend towards supernatural horror, with some elements of cosmic horror, rather than to slasher or gory horror, but there are some that could involve the latter.

Whether or not any of the encounters are actually dangerous or not is up to the GameMaster. They are listed by encounter types.

To use them, random results can be selected by rolling d100, or ones can be chosen manually.

Here is an example result:

Bones – This room of the house is oddly filled with bones of all types. They are mounted on the walls, displayed in boxes and have been converted into ornaments and perhaps even furniture. None of the bones are labelled, despite being lovingly cared for, and there is no apparent reason for the collection. If the bones are investigated, they are revealed to have come from
many different types of animal. Some of them are even human, from baby to adult, and, most disturbingly, a player with the requisite skills can determine that some of them are extremely fresh.
