100 Things to Find in a Pulp-Era Private Eye’s Office

100 Things to Find in a Pulp-Era Private Eye's OfficeThis is a list of items that could be found in a pulp-era private investigator’s office. The time period covered is roughly from the 1920s to the 1950s, and the items could be found in the offices of “hard-boiled” PIs from that era, such as Philip Marlowe, Mike Hammer and Sam Spade.

These items could be used to flesh out an office that players are in or searching, and to provide various places to look for clues or other things.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or choose appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

32. Film (Rolls of film, either new or used and waiting to be developed)
33. Flashlight (A battery-powered flashlight or torch, possibly more than one in different sizes)
34. Folders (Manila, containing files covering cases, may be on a desk or inside a filing cabinet)
