The Black Angus Hills are haunted by remnants of ancient wars. Lost battlefields dot the countryside, and tumbledown ruins of once potent strongholds linger like the graves of forgotten kings. One such place is Breckon’s Beacon, held to the last by the brave warriors of the Breckon line. The place was made infamous by that last stand… but is there something worse than ghosts and legends lingering in the old ruin?
Baker Squad was recently deployed on hill patrol through Black Angus County, along a well-established route through the border country. The area is largely unsettled, barring a few villages and hamlets. Worse, the area has few roads, none of which are reliable, which necessitates patrols being done on foot. Radio contact was lost 72 hours ago, and even accounting for the inclement weather, at least some members of the squad should have arrived at the Bristol Barracks to render their report.
