Creatures that travel across snow and ice leave signs of their passage, and here are ten different things that might be spotted.
- Bricks formed from shaped snow and ice.
- Discarded and torn glove.
- Parallel marks from runners are slowly being filled in.
- Patches of snow have been melted and then refrozen.
- Prints in the snow that are slowly vanishing as more snow fills them in.
- Rocks, now partially covered in snow and ice, have been arranged in a circle.
- Several pieces of rubbish are just under the snow and crunch if stepped on.
- Small hollow in the snow where something has been rested.
- Snow has been pushed aside into heaps.
- Spatters of now-frozen blood sit in small pockets where the snow was briefly melted.

Fantasy settings have currencies and 100 Descriptions for Fantasy Currency has 100 descriptions for such. Some are valuable whilst others are odd and perhaps not valuable except where they are from.
Sometimes magic can have an unexpected effect and 100 Random Magic Effects to Encounter in a Dungeon (C&C) has residual effects that could be found in a dungeon or other area. They can be minor or puzzling and may cause problems. This is the original supplement converted to Castles & Crusades.
Elves are longed-lived beings and protectors of nature in the Forbidden Lands. D66 Elves for the Forbidden Lands has 36 names and briefly described elves to encounter.
