Travelling through regions of snow and ice can be dangerous and this supplement has 100 different encounters to enliven such a journey.
The encounters can be used for Arctic regions, frozen mountains or during winter. Some encounters are odd, some potentially useful and some dangerous. Some are a source of potential adventure hooks.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
35. A wooden house has snow piled up against its sides, making it hard to recognise from a distance. The door to the house is open and most of the wood shingled roof has collapsed under the weight
of the snow, filling the interior. There are a few broken pieces of wooden furniture inside that were smashed when the roof collapsed, and a still intact iron stove, although it is buried under the snow.
36. Between the tops of two cliffs stretches a bridge made of ice. The bridge is at least a hundred feet above the ground and can be easily passed under but, when anything does pass under the bridge, large icicles plummet from it, potentially hitting anything below (throw Physical 6+ or be hit for 1D piercing damage).
37. Blocks of ice have been formed into a replica of a stone circle, but made from ice. The circle is about 16m in diameter and the blocks have been formed into trilithons. In the centre of the circle is a single block of ice, about 3m long by 1.5m wide and 1.5m high. This altar-like block has an upper surface that appears to be stained red with blood (throw Lore 6+ to confirm that it is blood).
