The borderlands are those regions that lie between the more civilised regions and the wilds yet are neither. They may be where civilisation is in advance or retreat and are unlikely to be safe.

This supplement has 100 different encounters for such regions. They can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

81. The path ahead is clearly (a Trifling Perception skill roll) less well maintained. Grass has started to grow over it and dips and hollows fill with water when it rains.

82. The river has silted up and become unusable for boats and other river travellers (it may be possible to portage past this area).

83. The road forks and one of the offshoots is clearly (an Easy Perception skill roll or a Trifling Survival (Any) skill roll) less used than the other.
