Books can be a source of valuable information and useful knowledge, but not every book fits into such a category. Many books are less valuable and this supplement has a collection of 100 different books to find on a Crescent Empire bookshelf.
The books cover a range of topics, including fiction, but whether any individual book is valuable or useful is up to the GameMaster. Some may contain useful material; others may only contain misinformation.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
30. Honour: The Only True Wealth by David ben Isiah M’Shevet Yedha (How honour is the only true measure of wealth for an individual, and no material wealth can substitute for honour that has been lost in order to gain it)
31. Imperial Legends by Asad ben Rahim M’Shevet Essa-Edomi (Collated by the author, this is an extensive collection of myths and legends from all over the Crescent Empire, although none have been judged for veracity)
32. Irem of the Pillars by Dārayavahush Payamzadeh (A tale of the fall of Irem in the Black Desert of the 8th Sea, destroyed during a battle between daevas and ahuras, based more on folktale and legend than fact)
