100 Children of Knowledge for Mage: The Ascension

100 Children of Knowledge for Mage: The AscensionThe Children of Knowledge of Mage: The Ascension are also known as the Solificati and are members of the Disparate Alliance. This supplement has 100 Children of Knowledge that could be encountered. Each is named and given a brief description. The dedication of each Solificati to their cause ranges from the disillusioned to the fanatical, and both extremes are dangerous. The Children of Knowledge can be used for brief encounters or as potential sources of adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

27. Evan McDonald: Evan helps other Solificati with their researches, as they have access to a number of different research libraries and databases through their day job. This means that they are less likely to wander from place to place than many of the Children of Knowledge, even though a lot of what they do is done over the internet. They’re also very careful about how they go about their researches, and sometimes payment will be in the form of advanced programming that is beyond Evan’s abilities, designed to hide their presence.

28. Eve Höss: Eve is a Child of Knowledge who has become perhaps a little too fascinated with chaos. Rather than seeking to understand the chaotic nature of the universe, the Solificati has become convinced that chaos is an end in and of itself, and that chaos should be promulgated whenever and wherever possible. And one way of spreading chaos is through the free distribution of pharmacological substances that undermine a user’s perception of reality. Eve might be seeking to open the doors of perception, but they are seeking to do it in as destructive a way as possible.

29. Finn Black: Finn is convinced that the old alchemists still have much to teach the modern Children of Knowledge, and spends much of their time digging through old alchemical tracts, as well as seeking out more and learning the languages they were written in, becoming proficient in German, Latin and Arabic as a start. Finn believes that each time a tract is translated, something of its essence is lost – something that does have a basis in fact – and therefore attempts to find the oldest extant version and read it in that language
