Whilst travelling through plains and savannah, characters can have a variety of encounters.

This supplement has 100 encounters for such locations. They range from the potentially dangerous to the peculiar. They can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

64. In an open area stands a tree. It appears (an (Easy +20%) Survival Test) to have been struck by lightning at some point, and split in half, but the tree has recovered and both halves are growing.

65. Large mounds of soil protrude out of the plains, looking like the creation of huge insects or moles. (A (Standard +/- 0%) Folklore Test identifies the mounds as belonging to giant ants; treat as Large Insects.)

66. Lines of stones stick out of the ground here. If examined, they appear to be the foundations of a building, one that has had the rest of the stone removed (an (Easy +20%) Tradecraft Test).
