Characters travelling by river can still have encounters and this supplement has 100 such for them to have.
They can be used to enliven a river journey or as possible adventure hooks. Some may be potentially dangerous.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
83. The river seemingly splits into two, but it is just diverting around a large island that breaks the flow (a (Routine +10%) Awareness Test or an (Easy +20%) Education Test to tell it’s an island). The island is flat and bare of all but scrub.
84. The river widens here and becomes shallow, making passage for boats difficult (boats with drafts deeper than barges and rowboats will struggle).
85. The river’s banks are marshy and soft, where the water has spread out. Trying to moor to a bank, walk along it or cross it will be difficult (all such Skill Tests are at -10 Base Chance).
