100 Hooks and Rumours for Flames of Freedom

100 Hooks and Rumours for Flames of Freedom

100 Hooks and Rumours for Flames of FreedomCharacters will often ask around for information and this supplement has 100 things they could hear in the Flames of Freedom setting.

Some of the information may be useful, some may be outright false. Whether or not anything is true is up to the GM and they can be used as misinformation, background colour and adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

88. There are many theories about the Newport Tower on Rhode Island and just who built it. It’s said that recently someone performed some excavations beneath the tower during the night, filling in the diggings afterwards but not bothering to cover things up more than that. It’s not clear whether whoever did the excavation found what they were looking for or not, or even if they removed it if
they did find it.

89. There are mixed feelings by the Colonials towards Royal Governor James Wright of Georgia, positive for his brokering peace with the Indigenous Nations and negative for his being the representative of British rule. It’s rumoured that the negative feelings are starting to outweigh the positive which, if true, would mean that the colony is leaning more towards supporting the rebel cause.

90. There are rumours that cannibals live on the outskirts of the Drowned Forest of Rye in New Hampshire, though most reports of them are secondhand. It’s said that recently a number of people have been going missing from the area, though, and locals are claiming the cannibals are responsible. They want to organise a party to go and find the cannibals and exterminate them.
