Characters may sometimes be asking around for information and this supplement has 100 different hooks and rumours they may hear in Gods of the Fall.
This may be used for misinformation or as potential adventure hooks. They are similar to the According to Prophecy snippets found in the setting book, though the GM can decide which prophecy they might apply to and whether or not they are turn.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
29. King Jasith of Somorrah was deposed and exiled by the current ruler of the city, Queen Etain, twelve years ago. The exiled king proclaimed themselves to be a loyal follower of Nulumriel and had himself taken the throne by force. There’s a rumour that Nulumriel is still providing support to Jasith and that the king is using this support to raise an army of mercenaries, and perhaps other things, in order to retake his throne.
30. Lake Wulan was once known as Wulan City but is now a water filled and mist enshrouded basin. There’s a drowned fortress at the centre of the lake, and it’s rumoured that a dragon called Mitar lives within, though no-one has seen or heard from him in 15 years. Those who have been to the lake recently have claimed that it has started expanding, and that more of the surrounding countryside is underwater. It’s suggested that perhaps Mitar is expanding his realm by flooding the area around the lake.
31. Lost Hold, the holdfast of the noble Namitra, rose into the air after an item from the Deeps was brought within, Namitra being transformed into an entity with many floating heads and her court into pale creatures with many mouths. There’s a rumour that Lost Hold is no longer merely hovering there, being a danger to anyone foolish enough to visit, but has started to move around, actively looking for people to prey on for whatever unknown reason.
