Characters may sometimes be asking around for information and this supplement has 100 different hooks and rumours they may hear in Gods of the Fall.
This may be used for misinformation or as potential adventure hooks. They are similar to the According to Prophecy snippets found in the setting book, though the GM can decide which prophecy they might apply to and whether or not they are turn.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
23. Koryban Lake in the Verge is home to some sort of lake monster of changeable appearance, that sometimes takes orcs and goblins away and, rather than eat them, keeps them for three days before releasing them with no memories of what happened. It’s rumoured that the number of individuals being taken like this has started to rapidly increase, and that more than just orcs and goblins are being taken too.
24. Many of Cryserech’s citizens are the reanimated, neither alive nor dead, with their spirits bound to magically preserved corpses. Their spirits are bound to their bodies through a piercing of magically cursed iron, whose removal or destruction ends the soul binding, releasing the spirit and turning the body into a mindless zombie. Recently, there has been a rise in the number of such zombies found wandering the streets of Cryserech, and there’s a worry that someone is deliberately targeting the reanimated and freeing their spirits.
25. Many of the Knights of Reconciliation do protect people against the actual evils and perils of the Afterworld, not just hunting down those they call False Gods. However, there’s a rumour that within the order is a more secretive band of knights whose motivations are not in the least pure. They are well hidden, for Nulumriel herself would destroy them if they were discovered.
