When characters are asking around for information, or getting it from other sources, they may hear rumours and bits of other information.
This supplement has 100 rumours that they could hear in or about Terrinoth. Whether or not any rumour is true is up to the GameMaster. They can be used as background colour or as potential adventure hooks.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
86. The wealth of Al-Kalim is concentrated in the capital city, Al-Madena. Though there is wealth outside the capital, by far the greatest concentration of it is on the city’s streets. This is rumoured to be causing an undercurrent of discontent in other parts of the Caliphate, amongst those who believe the capital is taking much and giving little in return.
87. The winds of the Valley of Sandstorms in the Great Sand Sea can strip a traveller to the bone. It’s rumoured that some of those who die in this way rise as undead creatures of bloody bone and sand, and that these creatures seek to kill any living things that they encounter.
88. There are lost cities in the sands of the Caliphate, ones that were ruled by the Djinni but which were abandoned by them after the coming of A’tar. It’s rumoured that certain parties have been sponsoring expeditions to the lost cities, to find those that are truly lost and, in all probability, loot them of any of the Djinni’s magic that can be found.
