Characters may hear bits of information when asking around and this supplement has 100 things they could hear in or about the Impossible Lands, for Jalmeray.

Whether or not any particular rumour is true or not is up to the GameMaster. They can be used as adventure hooks, misinformation or background colour.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

23. Hamid Karam runs the Sacred Leaf teashop in Niswan, and its popularity has made it the place to go to hear gossip. It’s rumoured that not everyone gossiping at the tables is truly gossiping; the shop’s popularity has made it a good place for spies and infiltrators to talk under the cover of having a friendly cup of tea together.

24. Harita Kaur, the saraj, admiral and commander, of Niswan’s naval defence force was rumoured to have worked with pirates in the past. It’s also said that sometimes people come looking for her from other parts of the world, ones who seem to know about a pirate past, and that these individuals have a tendency to disappear.

25. It’s said that the jungles of Jalmeray are home to a secretive sect of nagaji. These nagaji are claimed to be the reason why poaching is rarely a problem on the island, as they deal with any that they find, and that the nascent god-spirits that the nagaji are said to be protecting help them achieve this.
