Characters may hear rumours when asking around, whether they are trying to find out something in particular or just generally seeking information.
This supplement has 100 hooks and rumours foe Ghelspad in the Scarred Lands, covering the following nations and areas in them: Karria, Lageni, New Venir, Ontenazu, Uria, Vesh, Zathiske, Amalthea, Bridged City, Burok Torn, Dier Drendal, Gest Ganest, Glivid-Autel, Hedrad, Hollowfaust, Karakdöm, Khirdet, Lokil, Lost City of Asaatthi, Mansk, Mithril, Mullis Town, Rahoch, Shelzar and Vera-Tre. Here are some sample results:
79. The satrap’s palace in Quelsk, the traditional home of the Zathiskan ruler and now occupied by Calastia’s satrap, Virduk Olem, frequently has its walls covered in anti-Calastian graffiti. Workers are forever cleaning this off, though it is replaced just as quickly, but recently there’s a claim that one part of a wall had to be painted over as the graffiti proved impossible to remove
by normal means.
80. The scribe towers of the Laboratory of Gest Ganest are the outer ring of towers that make up the place. Four of the towers are no longer standing, and the scribe towers themselves don’t contain Ganest’s library of copied texts. Though, there is a rumour that there is a secondary library hidden in one of the towers, extant or not, but no-one seems to know whether this is within, under or connected to the towers by a portal.
81. The sewers of Hedrad are home to various unpleasant creatures, though attempts are made to keep these under control. The network is large, ancient and has also been expanded by its inhabitants, making such control hard to enforce. There’s a rumour that the matter has grown even more difficult of late, with an increase in the population of the creatures that live in the network, especially the already hard to keep manageable oozes and jellies.
