When asking in spaceport bars and other places, travellers may here a variety of rumours. Some may be rumours they are seeking, others may not.

This has 100 different rumours primarily about the Trojan Reach. They can be used as background colour, misdirection or adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

88. The Trade Route from the Imperium to the Hierate suffers from some pirate activity, mostly in the Borderlands subsector, though both polities tend to tolerate it unless a megacorporation is hit. However, the smaller traders, often independent, are less than happy about not being considered important enough, and have been clubbing together to try and influence policy. Or, possibly, fund anti-pirate operations of their own.

89. The worlds of the Dustbelt frequently war amongst each other, which puts trade with the Florian League at risk, as it runs through the Sindalian Main on which the Dustbelt worlds are situated. It’s rumoured that one of the worlds is being backed by an outside polity in an attempt to dominate the others and thereby cease the infighting which would make the Floriani trade safer.

90. The worlds of the Senlis Foederate in the Pax Rulin subsector of the Trojan Reach were originally settled by the Solomani and have strained relations with the Imperium, acting as if they expect the Imperium to invade any day and as if they have a chance of defeating the Imperium if it does. It’s rumoured that the Foederate has contact with the Solomani Confederation, who are supplying the small polity with technology and other equipment, possibly including spaceships, to make it more powerful.
