Characters may encounter rumours when looking for information. Some rumours may be important, others not so much.

This supplement has 100 rumours that characters could hear in or about the empires of the New World. Whether or not any particular rumour is true is up to the GM. They can be used as misdirection, background colour or potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

16. Conduits are the trained men and women who serve as a bridge between the Aztlani and their gods. Conduits may hold many positions, up to and including rulers, but there are many lesser ranks as well. There’s a rumour that a number of the lesser conduits have disappeared recently, and some suspect that they may have been kidnapped by Théans.

17. Don Alonso Ruiz Calderón was despatched to the New World by Cardinal Verdugo to execute a pogrom, destroying any Syrneth artefacts uncovered and working against the Aztlani governments. Most know that this is what Calderón is up to, but so far he has suffered no true setbacks, as when one place gets too dangerous, Calderón simply moves to another. It’s rumoured that Calderón is also attempting to stir war up between the Aztlani nations, and civil wars within them, though with less luck so far.

18. Don Tumbaga is the current all-Alliance champion when it comes to wrestling and the former yam farmer turned priest and now wrestler is very popular amongst the commoners. There are rumours that some think he’s too popular, and that this popularity should be dealt with, by spreading rumours about him that suggesting that his behaviour, both in and out of the sport, is less than reputable.
