100 Matokai for Esper Genesis

100 Matokai for Esper Genesis

100 Matokai for Esper GenesisMatokai are beings infused with one of the four primordial energies of the universe, and this supplement has 100 such for Esper Genesis.

Each matokai is given a name and a brief description. They can be used as chance encounters or potential allies or foes.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

78. Siguri Trel: Trel is a matokai who believes, unlike most matokai, that their kind needs to avoid the other species of the Silrayne Arc. Though matokai as a whole want to be represented in all matters that might involve their people as well as build up relationships with others, Trel thinks that doing so is detrimental to the matokai way of life. They believe that opening up to such outside possibilities can result in the true matokai beliefs being lost under a wash of what other species believe, and that matokai should return to their traditional values.

79. Sytaka Bakuske: The matokai have established colonies throughout the Silrayne Arc, and Bakuske is a matokai who helps discover places for new colonies. These may range from uninhabited worlds that are suitable for the matokai, to undeveloped areas on existing ones where the matokai would be welcome, or at least allowed to settle. As a result, Bakuske has travelled to many different places and has a great deal of experience in space, even though their primary interest is definitely in planetary environments.

80. Tagaral Gageri: Gageri is an extremely blunt stonefang, even for their kind. Stonefang matokai in general are known to be blunt and to speak their mind, but Gageri goes beyond that and seems to have little in the way of a filter that might prevent them from saying what comes to mind, no matter how appropriate it is. Or, more likely, isn’t. Those who have to work with the matokai regularly ensure that Gageri is never put in a position where diplomacy and tact are remotely needed, because doing so has proven to be a very bad idea in the past.
