Characters may come across notes and letters when searching, in desks and drawers, on bodies or lying around somewhere. This supplement has 100 such that can be found on Urth and cover Azūl, the Borderlands of Tear, the Desolation, Dis, the Freeholds of Nar, the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Sails and the Northern Reach.

None of the notes have any true meaning unless the GameMaster decides otherwise. They can be used as flavour, misdirection and adventure hooks. A supplementary d12 table has conditions in which the notes could be found.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

70. Rena, I know what you’re doing. Just think how your superiors would take the news, if someone were to inform them. I’m sure you’ll agree that this could be handled circumspectly. Or not. It’s up to you. I’ll be in touch.

71. Saw the Manacles make another arrest yesterday. It was clear that the man hadn’t done anything wrong, but he was strong and would fetch a good price as a slave. That’s all they need nowadays.
