Characters may come across notes and graffiti in Undermountain. Some may be important. Some may not.

This supplement has 100 small snippets that can be used as either notes or graffiti. What each snippet refers to is covered, and they primarily cover levels 1 to 11. There are four supplementary tables for determining the appearance of notes or graffiti.

To use the primary list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually, then decide whether to use the supplementary lists.

Here are some sample results:

63. “The dragon has it. There’s a reward if you can get it.”: This refers to the sword Tearulai, embedded in the head of the green dragon on Level 5.

64. “The echoes will tell.”: This refers to the stone giant who can often be heard in Room 5 on Level 7.

65. “The Eye. The Eye. The Eye watches. It sees me. The Eye sees me. I see the Eye. I cannot bear to see and be seen. The Eye. The watching Eye.”: Ravings caused by exposure to the Elder Eye in Room 9A on Level 10.
