100 People to Encounter in Kingsport

100 People to Encounter in KingsportWhilst in Kingsport, investigators can meet other, often ordinary, people, though often these will be those who frequently come into contact with others, such as those who work for or own businesses.

This supplement has 100 ordinary people for investigators to meet, aimed at 1920s Kingsport. Most are not important and have little if any knowledge of the Mythos.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

70. Mary Waters: Mary is an employee of the Sea’s Harvest and, as an employee who is female, young and attractive, she has received more than one dubious proposition from customers who use the restaurant, especially from tourists, as the locals generally behave better. Mary turns down such propositions, but she is on the lookout for the right sort of proposition from the right sort of man, that being one who is single, wealthy, looking for a serious relationship and, preferably, somewhat older. Mary does not want to work at the restaurant all her life, but is also careful not to do anything that would get her sacked.

71. Matthew Ashley: Matthew works out of the trolley station in Kingsport as he’s a conductor on one of the local trolleys. He’s a cheerful man and a font of information about trolleys, their history and why they are so much better, in Matthew’s opinion anyway, than buses. Matthew will always make time to talk to people on the trolleys, especially those who are regulars, and is almost the opposite of Douglas Cabot, one of the drivers and a man that Matthew loathes. Matthew will always try and get different shifts to Cabot, so that he doesn’t have to deal with the man.

72. Max Dole: Max is one of the bicycle messengers who deliver the Western Union telegraphs around Kingsport. The young man knows the town very well as a result, including how to get to places much quicker than might be expected. As Max has been all over town, he’s also seen quite a few things and, moreover, has a habit of reading telegrams whenever he can get away from it. This has enabled him to assemble quite a bit of information about the dealings of some of those in the town, and there are more than a few people who would be annoyed to know this.
