In most settings, players will have their characters look for information and rumours, and this supplement provides 100 different rumours to do so in Pugmire.
The rumours cover Pugmire and its surrounding lands. They may be true, false or a bit of both, which is up to the Guide. They can be used to provide background colour, misinformation or as a source of adventure hooks.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
44. Splinter faiths and sects are hardly unheard of, as not every dog follows the Church of Man, but recently more of these than usual have been arising. The new sects are far stranger than any that have come before and some are rumoured to be actually worshipping the Unseen and demons.
45. Strange creatures have been roaming the streets of Pugmire at night. They have only briefly been glimpsed, as they are keeping to the shadows, but the creatures appear malformed. Some of those
who will be least missed have disappeared as well. It’s rumoured that something was accidentally unearthed that has warped those exposed to it.
46. Strange, ghostly figures have been seen on the edges of the land, especially near the mountains and the Fearful Forest. It’s said that these figures stand upright, like a dog or a cat, yet are
nothing like either species.
