Travelling through regions of snow and ice can be dangerous and this supplement has 100 different encounters to enliven such a journey.

The encounters can be used for Arctic regions, frozen mountains or during winter. Some encounters are odd, some potentially useful and some dangerous. Some are a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

75. Strange, circular marks in the snow have a criss-cross pattern within them. The knowledgeable (make a Survival roll) can identify them as being the marks of snowshoes, but the spacing between the prints is of something with a larger-than-human stride.

76. The bodies of half a dozen people stand upright in a snowfield. Each appears to be running from something and every body is covered in several inches of completely clear, and unnaturally cold, ice.

77. The dead bodies of a dozen or so human men and women have been stacked in a pile. The bodies still have clothing, but no other possessions, and they have all frozen solid. The pile is partially covered by snow, suggesting that the bodies have been here for a while.
