The half-kin of halflings, goblins are nomads primarily found in forests and treat every kin other than halflings as potential prey. This supplement has 36 goblins to encounter; they could be foes or potential friends or allies. Each is named and given a brief description.
To use the list, either roll d66 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
55. Sorgia: Goblins frequently tame wolves to ride, and though goblins who do so do care for their own steeds, there is still a need for those who specialise in the treatment of wolves. This is where Sorgia comes in, for the goblin is an expert on raising and caring for wolves, and is often consulted when another goblin’s wolf is injured or ill. Sorgia cares more for the wolves than their riders, and will often lambast a rider whose wolf is ill or injured, accusing them of failing to take proper care of their mount. The goblin’s behaviour is only tolerated because of how good with wolves they are.
56. Talaria: Talaria is a goblin sneakthief who has moved to one of the larger urban areas, where there are more opportunities for a goblin with the right skillset to better themselves. Or, perhaps more accurately, where a proficient goblin thief can more easily fill their pockets with valuables. Most goblins have a loose attitude towards property rights; Talaria doesn’t believe anyone else has any right to any property that the goblin takes a shine to. Notably, it’s not always the most valuable things that Talaria wants, but when they want something, they will make every effort to get it.
61. Tromson: Tromson is a goblin who feels oddly protective towards their halfling half-kin. Although goblins in general do protect the villages of their half-kin, being better disposed towards halflings than halflings are towards goblins, Tromson takes it a step further. As the goblin is a traveller, they do not watch over any particular fixed settlement of halflings, but if they see halflings in their travels suffering at the hands of the other kin, Tromson will seek to do something about it. Slitting throats in their sleep is one of the goblin’s favourite ways of stopping injustice.
