D66 Whiners for the Forbidden Lands

D66 Whiners for the Forbidden Lands

D66 Whiners for the Forbidden LandsWhiners are small humanoid that are preyed on by almost everyone else. This supplement has 36 whiners to encounter; they could be foes or potential friends or allies. Each is named and given a brief description.

To use the list, either roll d66 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

22 Erkal Wal: Erkal Wal is a whiner who has taken to poisoning and abducting humans and orcs whenever they can and taking those kin down to the hollows in which whiners make their lairs. Erkal isn’t large enough by themselves to manage such a thing, naturally, and they are commonly with a group of other whiners that Erkal has somehow managed to convince to help them. Erkal is the one who does the poisoning, sneaking into places and adding potent sedatives to food and drink, then once everyone is unconscious, one target will be selected, tied up and dragged away.

23 Farral Lek: Farral Lek is a whiner who has been using the process by which gold and valuables implanted under a whiner’s skin grow heavier to create wealth from the oddments of valuable items they pick up. Farral has been implanting the valuables under their own skin, which is naturally painful, and they have been reluctant to implant anything large. By doing this, the whiner is slowly building up wealth which they plan to use to buy things for the whiners as a whole, possibly through intermediaries, to equip them better to deal with humans, orcs and the other kin.

24 Garrak Zek: Garrak Zek is a whiner who has taken an intense dislike to dwarves for some reason. Though whiners as a whole hate all the other kin, it’s the orcs and humans who normally are the first targets for that hatred, given how those two kin treat the whiners. Garrak, though, dislikes dwarves more than any of the other kin, though they will not say why. Though the whiner isn’t brave enough to directly target any dwarves, they will try and undermine and ruin dwarven handiwork whenever possible, damaging dwarven tunnels and breaking the constructions the dwarves make on the surface.
