Characters are often on the side of good in a role playing game and, as such, will often come into conflict with the forces of evil, including servants of evil gods.
This supplement has 100 different dressings that could be found on an altar to an evil god. Some are clearly disturbing, others are odd. Whether or not any have any significance is up to the GameMaster. They can be used as simple decoration or as potential sources of adventure hooks.
The supplement is also available in a version for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. You do not need both versions.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
86. The altar slides aside when a secret catch is activated, revealing a charnel pit beneath it.
87. The altar’s geometry seems wrong; the sides do not appear to be straight, even though the altar appears to be rectangular.
88. The altar’s top will slide open if a secret catch is triggered, revealing that it is hollow and the sarcophagus for a former high priest of the religion.
