100 Dungeon Flora

100 Dungeon Flora

100 Dungeon FloraEven in the underearth realms, plants can grow, though they may be nothing like those found in the sunlit spaces above.

This supplement has 100 different kinds of flora that can be found underground, including fungi of different types. Some of the flora are useful and may be used by the underearth civilisations. Others are potentially dangerous.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

31. Dung Blossoms: Dung blossoms look like flowers that grow in dung from the various subterranean creatures, although they are not flowers but a type of fungi. Though dung blossoms are said to be good eating, there are very few intelligent creatures willing to try them to confirm whether or not this is true.

32. Euphoria: An otherwise ordinary-looking fungus whose spores, when inhaled, have a euphoric effect on many liking creatures. The euphoria experienced results in a tendency to make poor decisions and do things that otherwise the inhaler would not do. The spores are sometimes used by underearth civilisations as a way of questioning prisoners, as under the fungus’s effects, those questioned are far less likely to lie, mislead or keep silent.

33. Eyeball Fungi: These fungi consist of a long stalk at the top of which is an eyeball- sized globe, with markings resembling an iris on the top. The globes seemingly turn to watch any creature that passes; in truth, they are attracted to warmth and move towards it. If an eyeball fungi’s globe is brushed against, it will burst in a cloud of spores.
