100 Encounters for the Fantasy Taiga

100 Encounters for the Fantasy Taiga

100 Encounters for the Fantasy TaigaTaiga is cold land though not always arctic, mostly lowland and sometimes tundra. It’s lowland and often flat.

This supplement has 100 encounters suitable for such land that can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

70. Sinking into the taiga are the remains of a road. The road is constructed from shaped stones, and was clearly well constructed at one point, though it is now falling to pieces, has missing stones and in parts is covered by soil.

71. Slightly elevated ridges and islands with woody plants alternate with flat, wet areas of the taiga, forming a strong bog. Closer examination of the series of islands and ridges show that they appear to be the remains of buildings, rather than natural.

72. Small holes dot the ground, by the looks of it made by burrowing creatures such as rodents. The holes prove a hazard to travellers, with the risk of a person or mount catching a foot in one and tumbling to the ground.
