Any modern street is going to have people on it other than characters, people who will be doing things that are unconnected to the players. This is a list of 100 events and people, from individuals to large groups, that could be found on a modern street, primarily from the later portion of the 20th century onwards.

Such events and people can be used simply as dressing to make a scene look alive if players ask what they can see. They can be used to hide important events behind a crowd of ordinary ones. Or perhaps the events themselves are out of the ordinary; players, in more paranoid games, may suspect that the ordinary is far from ordinary and may actually be a threat.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

37. Food – An ice cream van is parked by the side of the road, open for business. Several children and adults are queuing by it to buy ice creams.
38. Fly Tipping – Two men are throwing garbage bags off the back of a pickup truck into a field beside the road.
39. Funeral – A black hearse bearing a coffin and flowers is driving slowly down the street followed by two large black limousines.
