Pubs and bars in a modern setting are not all the same, and can have features or activities that make them differ from each other.
This supplement has 100 different ways of making such a place unique, ranging from unusual features to customers to events that might be held. They can be used as background colour or sometimes as adventure hooks.
Here are some sample results:
45. The lighting inside is very dim, with less lights than would be expected and none of those have very strong bulbs. This isn’t a deliberate attempt at creating an atmosphere; it’s just that the landlord is cheap and doesn’t like high electricity bills.
46. The place is on two floors, though the second floor is just a gallery running around the main room. Staircases lead to the upper level and there’s a small bar on that level too, with a dumbwaiter allowing items to be sent up and down to the main bar directly below it.
47. The pub has a fine selection of Scotch, and only Scotch, whisky. Rows and rows of bottles line the back of the bar, with many different blends and single malts of differing ages, some quite expensive.
