100 Hooks and Rumours for the Blight: The Hollow and Broken Hills (Lost Lands)

100 Hooks and Rumours for the Blight: The Hollow and Broken Hills (Lost Lands)This supplement has 100 hooks and rumours that characters could hear in or about the The Hollow and Broken Hills in Castorhage, or the Blight, in the Lost Lands setting.

These rumours can be used as background colour for the setting or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

86. There are dozens of small islets where the Hollow and Broken Hills tumble into the sea, most of them small and worthless. It’s rumoured that a few of these islets play host to worships of darker gods, with rituals carried out that even Castorhage would find offensive.

87. There are many caves, caverns and passageways beneath the surface of the Hollow and Broken Hills, and though many of these have been encountered, often by buildings falling into them, it’s said that there are deeper ones that have yet to be discovered. At least, by anyone who will admit the discovery. There are rumours about just what kinds of horrors might be found in the deeper caves, with some saying the rampant corruption from the city above has seeped away, gathered in them and taken physical form.

88. There are many festivals in Castorhage and the Hollow and Broken Hill, being the centre of Mother Grace’s worship in the city, plays a major role in many of these. It’s rumoured that the Church of Mother Grace seeks to come up with new festivals, not just to worship Mother Grace but as a way of fleecing her followers.
