This supplement has 100 hooks and rumours that characters could hear in or about the Northlands in the Lost Lands.

These rumours can be used as background colour for the setting or as potential adventure hooks.

27. Many jarls of Storstrøm Vale invest in better clothes, halls and more retainers in an attempt to boost their social position, but this can also bankrupt a social climber. It’s rumoured that some of the merchants who sell the goods that enable this social climbing do so on terms that are guaranteed to bankrupt some of the jarls, both to put those jarls in their debt and to benefit other jarls who seek to keep some of the social climbers down.

28. Monrovia has the ability to fend off Northlander attacks for all but its most isolated settlements, which has encouraged the Northlanders to trade with the duchy rather than raid it. It’s rumoured that the Jomsvikings are taking this as a challenge, and are planning an attack to burn Monrovia to the ground.

29. Mount Helgastervän is a volcano in Nûkland which sends forth a constant plume of smoke and ash and the land around it is heavily volcanic. It’s said that the amount of vulcanism in the surrounding land, as well as the cloud that the volcano puts out, have been increasing in recent months, and that the volcano may be on the verge of a major eruption.
