Settlements in a fantasy setting can be abandoned for various reasons. Some of these are innocuous but others are more serious.
This supplement has 100 reasons why a settlement is no more, which can be used as background colour or potential adventure hooks.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
71. The lands became infertile and no longer able to support crops, and without the ability to grow food the inhabitants abandoned the place.
72. The Plane of Shadow started overlapping the settlement, and shadow beings would come in and out of existence.
73. The region where the settlement was built proved to be plagued by insects of many different kinds that spread disease, ate crops and made life unpleasant.
