Are your adventurers on a quest to gather ingredients for a powerful sorcerer? Or is your character brewing up something special? Whatever the case, this guide provides detailed recipes for a plethora of potions sure to boost your stats and help you in your journey to grow bigger, better and stronger! Many guides tell of powerful ingredients or lore to mystical potions brewed, but few have ever spelled it out for the curious adventurer to make step by step. Each recipe gives a list of ingredients, detailed instructions on how to combine them and the results to expect from a successful potion or even possibly a failed potion. These recipes vary in difficulty level from the simple Novice potion, to the challenging Intermediate potion, to multi-step Miracles that are more likely to end in disaster than blessing. Will you become talented in the art of magical chemistry, or will it all blow up in your face? Only the dice can tell.

Midnight Violet Potion: Novice

Grants the user the ability Night Vision regardless of class, spell slots, Mana Points, etc. for 1 turn. *Note: You can stack Midnight Violet Potions; however, after 10 Midnight Violet Potions are used within 20 turns’ time, the user will begin to have the whites of their eyes turn black. The whites of the eyes will permanently turn black once the Midnight Violet Potion has been used at least 42 times.

Ingredients

• 1 Bucket of Moon Water
• 4 Spoons of Black Honey
• 2 Cat Claws
• 1 Vial of Midnight Violet Syrup

Pour 1 Bucket of Moon Water into an Iron Cauldron. Bring to a boil using a fire built with Teak Logs. Once the potion has come to a boil, stir in 4 Spoons of Black Honey using an Obsidian Spoon, stirring counterclockwise. Wait for the Black Honey to dissolve and turn the potion an inky black before adding 2 Cat Claws, one by one. The potion will fizz and throw purple sparks. Stir counterclockwise 3 times and then wait for the sparks to dissipate. Carefully, pour in 1 Vial of Midnight Violet Syrup while continuously stirring. (*Note: The brewer can create their own Midnight Violet Syrup from scratch by straining the nectar from Midnight Violet Buds through a Silk to sieve out the poisonous pollen. The Silk must then be burned. Boil down the nectar in a Silver Cauldron until it thickens into a syrup.) Once the Midnight Violet Syrup has dissolved and the potion glows a deep purple, Perform a Success Roll using a d4. If a 1 is rolled, the potion has failed. If a 2 or higher is rolled, the potion is a success. Bottle the potion into an Ebony Wood Flask and use immediately.
