Ruins can be found in fantasy urban locations just as they can be found in other parts of a fantasy setting, and the reasons for the ruins may be odd.
This supplement has 100 different ruins that could be found in a fantasy town or city, ranging from the mundane to the odd to the potentially dangerous.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
37. Former temple surrounded by shattered and fallen columns. The building’s domed roof has caved in, filling the interior with debris. Only the altar is still, surprisingly, intact, all the damage having missed it, and it stands in its original place in one piece.
38. Former theatre that bears some signs of fire on the outside and more inside it. The building is avoided as, at night, the sounds of a ghostly orchestra can sometimes be heard coming from inside, accompanied by screams and the sound of roaring flames.
39. Former wizard’s tower that looks strange from a distance, even though it seems to be intact. On seeing it from closer up, it can be seen that parts of the building are insubstantial; it’s possible to see through them as they appear to be fading in and out of reality.
