In a futuristic setting, just as in a fantasy setting, characters can end up spending time in bars and other drinking establishments. This can be to meet up, get information, look for jobs or speak to contacts.
This is a list of 100 different bars that can be dropped into a futuristic setting. Each bar’s name is given, as well as some other details, such as owner, clientèle, description and unusual features.
To use the list, either roll d100 for random results or select appropriate bars manually.
Here are some sample results:
30. Virtual: With a dozen different holographic decks, and twice that many personalized booths, this bar caters to almost any kind of escapism one could ask for. From fighter cockpits and mech battles, to fully-immersive escape rooms and dramatic scenarios, the only limit is how much you’re willing to pay to block out your space and time.
31. The Rocket Room: A venue that believes in an old-fashioned dinner and a show, the Rocket has played host to crooners, comedians and several generations of glitz and glamour. With its luxurious
booths, retro décor, and sumptuous menu, this place is a favorite of producers, managers, pop divas, hot-ticket performers, star athletes and the occasional infamous criminal.
32. Reactor: A place that works hard to stay on the cutting edge of what’s new and edgy in the world of black star metal, Reactor always has fresh recipes, and up-and-coming screamers on its stage. It’s the club where Janna Jett made her riotous debut, and where bands like Atom Splitter and Frozen Black first came onto the scene.
