Spaceships and starships need somewhere to land or dock in a futuristic setting and this supplement has 100 such described.
They include planetary ports and space stations, with varying levels of quality and law at the ports.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
70. Port built on a moon orbiting an inhabited planet. The planet itself bars anyone from outside the system from directly travelling to it, with the only place where outsiders are allowed to dock in the entire system being the port on the moon. Travellers who wish to go or send goods to the planet must land on the moon and transit on one of the locally operated ships.
71. Port carved into the ice of a mostly frozen world. The ice in many places has been melted by ship engines and then refrozen. The primary facilities are built into the ice itself, with the landing pads some distance from them, so that the facilities aren’t at risk of damage from engines.
72. Port that has been built at the very top of a space elevator, though it’s mostly used by smaller ships. An attachment to the space elevator itself, beyond where the cars run, can be used to throw docked ships off into space with an initial boost to their speed.
