Ironfire is known the world over for the never-ending streams of dragon steel that flow from its legendary Dragon Forge, as well as the fabled Scarlet Company that serves as its standing army. However, while Ironfire has ascended to become the crown jewel of the Dragonsbreath Mountains, and rightfully so, the city is but one part of the rich tapestry of histories, legends and heroes that were molding the land and its native people, the Cinderscale lizardfolk, hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years before Ironfire’s founding. In other instances, the rise of the City of Steel served as the catalyst for new discoveries, settlements and alliances. So, even though these settlements are smaller, they are inextricably linked with Ironfire through trade and heritage; and they provide a clearer picture of the wider physical, cultural and political environments in which the city operates.

The following thirteen settlements have been designed for games set in the growing Sundara: Dawn of a New Age setting, particularly those that emphasize elements from Cities of Sundara: Ironfire and Sellswords of Sundara. However, the settlements can be modified for use in other settings if one desires. Each settlement comes with a map, a unique history, notable NPCs, unique locations and beckoning rumors that can act as starting points for adventures within the town and beyond. The only limit is your imagination!
