100 Encounters for the Post-Apocalyptic Underground (Mutant Future)

100 Encounters for the Post-Apocalyptic Underground (Mutant Future)Travelling through a post-apocalyptic land still results in encounters, albeit often stranger ones. This supplement has 100 such encounters for characters to have.

The encounters are most suited for use in a post-war apocalyptic setting, where weapons of every and all types have been used. They can be used as a way to enliven a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

The supplement is also available in a system neutral version. You do not need both versions.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

19. Boxes, many of them still sealed, are stacked in piles. Both open and sealed boxes contain old ration packs, though the open boxes have mostly been emptied of them and those remaining are no longer edible (an optional CON check with -1 if any are eaten, failure results in the character being at -2 on all rolls for 2d4+2 rounds due to retching).

20. Bright red beams that occasionally flicker bar access to another area. If touched, the beams prove to be made from directed energy like lasers (and will do 1d6 points of damage to anyone touching a single beam). Given the flickering, it looks as if the power supply is uncertain.

21. Buried behind a huge pile of rubble can be seen a thick metal door. The door is almost completely hidden, and it looks as if the rubble that buried it was brought down in front of the door deliberately. The roof above is now unstable, and digging to get at the door may cause another collapse (removing the rubble will cause a cave-in, causing 6d6 damage to anyone in the area, save versus death for half).
