100 (And More) Male Pictish First Names has now been released, but there won’t be a female version of this.
One of the few female names to have survived is Eithne, that of a Pictish royal from the 9th century. However, that name is actually of Irish or Gaelic origin.
One suggestion that has been made is that a proportion of the names currently believed to be male are actually female. This is not known for certain either way.
It may be possible to alter the male names by making them “feminine” as is done in some languages. Alternatively, and as Pictish may be a Gaelic language, female names from another Gaelic language could be used, such as Manx female names.
