100 Descriptions for Locks (PFRPG)Many doors and containers have locks that are intended to stop people from opening them without a key.

This supplement has 100 different locks that can be used to enliven doors and containers. They range from the comparatively normal to the strange and some may even be dangerous.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

31. Flames have been etched into the reddish-orange plate that makes up the majority of the lock. One of the flames masks the keyhole (DC 10 Perception check to find).

32. Frost continually forms around the handle and lock and until the lock is warmed up, it cannot be opened. Body heat will warm it, but holding on for long enough to do so is painful (body heat will require 10 rounds to warm the lock enough; after a number of rounds equivalent to the Constitution modifier, unprotected hands will take 1 hp of damage per round from the cold).

33. Inside the keyhole is what appears (DC 10 Knowledge (nature) check) to be a small cocoon. It pulses regularly.
