Dungeons can be dangerous places and not just because of the monsters, intelligent creatures and traps. There can be mundane hazards that could prove just as dangerous.
This supplement has 100 different hazards that can be used by a GameMaster to enliven an otherwise sparse dungeon area. Some may be inconvenient; some potentially deadly.
The supplement also comes in a system-neutral version. You do not need both versions.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
70. Shelves: Wooden shelves have been fixed badly to the wall and stacked with many different items. The shelves are rickety and will give way if anything on them is touched, dumping the shelves and their contents on anyone in front of them. (Characters within 5’ of the shelves must make a DC 10 Reflex save or suffer 1d3 points of damage by the collapse.)
71. Slope: The area slopes steeply down. Climbing down will be tricky, given the angle and that the slope is covered in loose debris that gives poor footing. (DC 10 Athletics check to travel down the slope at half speed without falling. Failure will result in a character losing their step, falling prone and sliding for 4d10 feet, suffering 1d2 points of damage per 10’.)
72. Smoke: The room is filled with chokingly thick smoke that makes breathing difficult. (See Smoke Effects in Environmental Rules in Chapter 13: Environment of the Core Rulebook.)
