Floors can often have coverings, rather than being completely bare, and this supplement has 100 different coverings that can be used in dungeons and other places.
They can be used just as decoration, or given that some have quirks and oddities, something more than that.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
80. The carpet is soft to walk on, and oddly the pile feels thicker and deeper than it is.
81. The carpet looks to be stained, and walking on it reveals the stains are growths of mould. Agitating the carpet causes these growths to send choking clouds of spores into the air (DC 10 Fortitude save or be the equivalent of stunned from choking for 2d4+2 rounds).
82. The rug appears (DC 10 Knowledge (arcane) check) to depict some sort of portal to another realm. It’s not clear whether this is simply a design, or whether it might function as such with the right magics.
