Characters may have encounters in a port of whatever size, or perhaps in the settlement to which the port belongs.
This has 100 such encounters that can be used as background colour whilst visiting the port or as potential adventure hooks.
The supplement is also available in a system-neutral version. You do not need both versions.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
61. Huge numbers of seagulls are wheeling and diving above the harbour, with more on the ships and roofs of buildings around the wharf. Everything is getting covered in a thick layer of their guano and people are preferring not to venture out (a DC 8 Reflex check is needed to avoid slipping and falling prone and a DC 10 Reflex save is needed to avoid being nauseated for 1d4+1 rounds).
62. In the water of the harbour, a body bobs to the surface. It is bloated and has clearly been nibbled on by sea life, making it hard to identify, but the dagger in its back suggests the cause of death (a DC 10 Heal check will confirm this).
63. Jellyfish fill the water between the ships in very large numbers, creating a carpet that almost looks thick enough to walk on. The jellyfish are harmless (confirmed with a DC 10 Knowledge (nature) check) and it appears some sailors consider them to be good eating, as they are fishing them out of the water by the score.
