In a fantasy setting, characters can encounter various performers and artists on the street, or in other places.
This supplement has 100 different entertainers and artists that characters could encounter. Most are written as if they are found on the street, but some could be suitable for other locations. They may be a source of colour or potential adventure hooks.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
43. Malice is a man, or perhaps a woman, in a half mask and scarlet painted lips. The upper half of the mask is made from white china with no holes for eyes, so it’s uncertain how Malice sees, yet they clearly do. Malice makes fun of those passing in a hoarse, rasping voice, picking up on any of their traits and exaggerating and making fun of them to degrees that have reduced more than a few targets to tears. Malice doesn’t seem to want paying; they just want to cut as many people to ribbons with their tongue as they can.
44. Marvellous Maeve is a spelluser who cannot cast much more than a cantrip, but has proven to be very skilled with those minor enchantments. She can be found putting on displays with the wide range of cantrips she knows that are suitable for entertaining, many of which Maeve has created herself. Maeve’s skill with cantrips is such that she can put on a show that would put a more powerful spelluser to shame.
45. Minx and Manx are identical sisters in their early twenties. They are acrobats who tumble, jump, dive and throw each other in the air. Despite their talent, the main attraction for those watching them tends to be that the young, attractive women are dressed in thin, very form-fitting, tight costumes that leave very little to the imagination. The women aren’t bothered, as long as the tips flow, and they are capable of defending themselves against those who get too forward.
