100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (3Deep)

100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (3Deep)

100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (3Deep)Characters can have encounters along the coast whilst travelling and this supplement has 100 encounters for such locations.

Some encounters are suitable for land travel, some for water travel and some for both. They can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

51. Iron reinforcements have been fixed to a cliff overlooking the beach, stopping the crumbling rock from falling. The iron is old and rusted and not as effective as it once was. (If disturbed, there is a chance that some of the rocks might fall. Violent spells or being hit will result in a collapse on 1-3 on 1d6; those within 10’ of the cliff will need to make an Athletic (Agility) roll or suffer 1d6 damage.)

52. Jutting out of the sand is a rock that appears strange from a distance. If investigated, it appears to be a fossil of an ammonite (a General Knowledge (Logic) roll), but an immense one over a yard in diameter.

53. Logs have been laid out on the beach in a row leading to the sea. By their positioning, and the wear on them, it looks (a Crew Member (Logic) roll with +1) as if they were used to move a ship
into the ocean.
