100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (3Deep)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (3Deep)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (3Deep)Moorlands and heaths are closely related terrain and end to be the result of long human habitation. Different encounters can be had on a journey through such.

This supplement has 100 suitable encounters for such regions, that can be used to enhance a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

45. Gorse thickly covers the moors here, with the thorns catching on clothing as they are pushed through (an Athletics (Agility) roll with +2 to avoid damaging clothes). Here and there, bits of wool have caught on the gorse where sheep have travelled through the bushes.

46. Grouse fly up from the heather as they are disturbed by anything approaching. The grouse can be seen for some distance, and are a clear sign to anyone with the right knowledge (an Outdoor (Logic) roll) that something disturbed them.

47. Heaps of drying vegetation marks where bracken has been torn up by the roots.
