Taiga is cold land though not always arctic, mostly lowland and sometimes tundra. It’s lowland and often flat.

This supplement has 100 encounters suitable for such land that can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

83. The remnants of a village can be seen standing in a small dip in the taiga, though all the buildings are now tumbledown and some look to have been partly swallowed up by the soil (confirmed with a DC 5 Wisdom (Perception) check).

84. The sky darkens as an enormous flock of birds flies past overhead, making a lot of noise and depositing a lot of droppings in its wake.

85. The taiga here is completely dead and the soil is dry, dusty and lifeless. Any trees and other plants are dead and crumbling, turning to dust if touched.
