100 Encounters for a Fantasy Jungle (Black Spear)

100 Encounters for a Fantasy Jungle (Black Spear)

100 Encounters for a Fantasy Jungle (Black Spear)Characters may end up travelling in jungle regions – or, more commonly these days, tropical rainforests – for a number of reasons, with lost civilisations being a popular one.

This supplement has 100 different encounters that characters could have. These may be used as background colour or as potential adventure hooks. They include things, people, places and creatures. Some are potentially dangerous and others are potentially useful.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

55. Jewellery – A glint in a pile of leaves is revealed to be several pieces of gold and jade jewellery, native in origin. There appears to be enough jewellery for one individual (an Easy Commerce skill roll values the jewellery at being worth 2).

56. Leaves – Many leaves fall down from above as something surprisingly large moves through the canopy, silencing the nearby wildlife.

57. Logging – A number of tree trunks in the area mark where lumberjacks have been logging hardwoods. Oddly, the felled trees have not been moved, and there are a few rusty axes and saws around. If the lumber could be shipped back to civilisation, it would be worth quite a bit (the wood present would be worth 30 if dried out which is difficult in the jungle).
